Quick - Shelf Hangers Six Shelf 12" Deep Wall Mount Shelving Unit Overview

Quickly and easily create a wall mounted shelving unit in your garage, basement, shed, or wherever else desired. This kit delivers a total of four 12" tall shelves and two 16" tall shelves. Once the top shelf is hung, the remainder of shelf hangers are each hung from the one above it with the simple hook through construction. With only two wall attachment points for the entire rack of shelves, the only tools required are a drill, 3/16" drill bit, screwdriver, and 1/2" wrench. The shelf hanger kit includes eight 12" wide X 12" tall Shelf Hangers, two 12" wide X 16" tall Shelf Hangers, two 12" wide Wall Mount Shelf Hangers, two 5/16" lag screws, and 28 hanger clips w/ mounting screws. If space is a problem for you in your room, and you don't know where to put your new Sharp television, why not consider wall mounting it. A flat mount bracket is good on a large wall in a good sized room. Most popular are the swivel and tilt combination brackets, which allow you to position your television exactly where you want it, allowing you to move from chair to sofa to table, and still enjoy your program.

Nothing makes a mounting job worse than having to look for tools or make a run to Home Depot for something you forgot while you have wires hanging out of the wall. By way of example, if you plan on mounting the TV on a Saturday morning, make a list of the tools you need on Friday night. If those are not in your immediate possession, take Friday night and run to Home Depot to buy the missing tool(s) or go borrow them from your neighbor. When Saturday rolls around, get the tools out first, then (and only then) proceed with the installation of the TV wall mount.

Easy DIY Projects - How to Install Wall Mounted Shelves

Wall mounted shelves are an easy way to add storage to any room. Whether you use metal or wood shelves and brackets, or floating shelves, wall shelves are a great way to use vertical space, especially in smaller rooms. And best of all, they are very easy to install yourself. Here's a quick how-to guide.

Wall Mount Shelfs

1. Use a stud finder to find your wall studs. Slide it along the wall until you see or hear the indicator (depending on your model you may hear a beep or see a red line). This tells you that you have reached the edge of a wall stud. Mark this location with a pencil. Now start again from the opposite side, just a little further over and slide the finder along towards the mark you just made until it indicates that you have found the other edge of the stud, and mark this point as well.

Move about 32 inches or so, and do this again to find your second stud. If your wall shelves are not large enough to hit both studs, then you do not need to repeat the process. Simply use wall plugs for the brackets that are not going to be drilled in to the stud.

2. Hold one of your brackets at the area you want to hang it. Mark the screw hole with your pencil. Make sure you are starting at the stud. Now, use your drill to make a pilot hole at the pencil mark. If there are two screw holes on your bracket, then mark and drill two pilot holes.

3. Holding the bracket in place with the screw holes over the pilot holes, drill or screw the appropriate screw into the pilot holes. Make it snug, but don't over-tighten it at this point.

4. Using a level, align your second bracket along the wall and mark the screw holes. Drill your pilot holes, then insert wall plugs. Now, screw your brackets into the wall plugs. The wall plugs will provide a more secure hold to the wall, when you cannot use a stud to secure the brackets.

5. Tighten all of your screws, then attach the wall shelf to the brackets. Again, use your level to make sure that it is properly balanced.

As you can see, installing wall mounted shelves is a simple project that you can easily accomplish in less than an hour! And now all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your newly organized room.

The AS3B is a tri-shelf cable management system. It can be used with or without a Plasma/LCD mount. This unit is designed to fit under your display and provide an on wall solution for other components such as cable boxes, DVD players, game consoles, and stereo components. There are three 2.25-Inch holes on the aluminum plate that allow you to cleanly run your cables up to your TV or down to another component, as well as out the bottom to an outlet.
